The road that leads us up to Randazzo is one of the most beautiful in Sicily, stopping at the oldest tree in Europe the 100 Chestnut horses.
Etna is the largest active volcano in Europe, UNESCO World Heritage Site. Having the chance to go up to 3000 m is a great fortune and also you will try unique and unrepeatable sensations.
You should visit the fish market and the close Piazza Duomo. If you arrive at lunch time you can go to eat fish at the restaurant Fratelli Vittorio that is located in Via Vittorio Dusmet 1 (avoid going there on Saturday). Otherwise you can go to the bar ETOIL D’Or and enjoy the arancini, cipolline and pizzette typical of the city of Catania.
Before going to visit the Greek Theatre, a must it’s an aperitif at the Hotel Timeo from where you will enjoy one of the most beautiful views of the Mediterranean Sea. Have lunch at the Hotel S’Andrea and get inspired by unique flavors overlooking the sea.
Beautiful archaeological area and as a second step, the part of town called Ortigia, a real gem.
Characteristic seaside village. We like to stop at the restaurant La Cialoma and have dinner. Then go to the store Liccamuciula where you can find interesting and stimulating things. You should visit the natural reserve of Vendicari between Noto and Marzamemi, and Calamosche beach that lies between the archaeological remains of Eloro and the Natural Reserve.
The Villa del Casale with its mosaics is one of the wonders of the world. The famous room that represents women in bikini playing ball; the French thought that it was cemented in the 60s. Stop for lunch at Foghèr where they have a great wine list and a interesting menu.
World Heritage. The most beautiful baroque in the world. You can go to the Caffè Sicilia which was indicated by the Times as one of the biggest bars in Italy. Visit the shop Anche gli Angeli where you will find nice things and interesting, as well as a magnificent architecture and a nice bar. You can go in the main square and see the statue of the poet Coffa, my ancestor.
