Our Restaurant “Locanda Nerello”, set on the terrace during summer, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, and indoor during other seasons, reflects our Eco-Bio identity.Our commitment and efforts to create the experience you will have at Monaci starts from the table at our restaurant and from the work on our farm, where our products are grown to become part of our menu and our traditional cuisine, based on food seasonality.

We guarantee freshness and quality, without resorting to ready-made or processed meals as we only use fresh products. Our restaurant is deeply committed in the cause of the Slow Food Movement. We believe in the attitude of slowness, we are passionate about food as an element of authenticity and as an experience itself. The aim of Locanda Nerello is to recover what we seem to have lost, the original tastes and flavors, based on healthy and refined ingredients, original and ancient wheat varieties and rare native species of fruits and vegetables. Each dish is the fruit of an accurate research, aiming at the balance between authenticity, taste and genuineness.

Organic breakfast

During breakfast, a full buffet is served in the old wine press or outside, on our sea-view terrace, with freshly-baked homemade cakes and tarts, homemade Sicilian bread using local flour, homemade jams, cold meats, local honey, cheeses, organic eggs from our hens, organic fruits from our own gardens and freshly squeezed juices, made to order everyday.


Booking one of the experiences related to the Locanda Nerello restaurant, guests can learn the secrets of traditional Sicilian cuisine. Lessons take place in the hotel laboratory and are made by our chef and his kitchen brigade for adults and children. Homemade pasta and gnocchi, prepared with ancient Sicilian grains and stuffed with herbs from our garden will be served at the end of the lesson.

Monaci's guests can discover the different expressions of the flavors of the territory with the tasting of 5 Guido Coffa label wines, produced in the Monaci delle Terre Nere vineyards. In addition, a taste of Monaci oil accompanied by ancient Sicilian wheat bread will be served.
